In Our Last Stand, Helma, an Assyrian-American school teacher from New York, spends her summer vacation traveling to Iraq and Syria to help raise awareness about the plight of the Christian communities (Assyrian/Chaldean/Syriac) threatened by civil war and ISIS.
Helma’s journey takes her from refugee camps struggling to care for Christians who have fled ISIS in Northern Iraq, to the small militias helping to defend and retake villages from ISIS in the Nineveh Plains and Hasakah, Syria, to Helma’s family’s hometown of Qamishli in Northern Syria. During her trip, Helma uncovers both heart-breaking and inspiring stories of grief, despair, persecution, courage and hope as she discovers what it means to sacrifice for her faith and community.
This first-of-its-kind documentary will inform westerners, especially Americans, about the existence of these ancient Christian communities, the threats they face and the crucial role these communities play in the Middle East. By building awareness, Our Last Stand will help American citizens, policy makers and others stand in solidarity with the persecuted.

Christians in the Mirror reveals the intense suffering of persecuted Christians in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. Their faith and fortitude, in the midst of torture and tragedy, all the more underscore their inspiring witness of love. Many of us Christians in the West are focused on prosperity and convenience, and are often unaware or indifferent to our brothers’ and sisters’ plight in the universal church. This documentary is a provocation for Christians to look into their “Christian mirror” as a disciple of Christ and to see whom is reflected back. Is it Christ?

In 2008, Fidel Castro handed control of Cuba to his younger brother, Raul. Since that time, many people around the world anticipated that significant changes would take place in the lives of the Cuban people. Especially in the lives of younger Cubans.
While hope springs eternal, the Cuban government's continued use of laws that violate international standards of basic human rights make it almost impossible for citizens to voice their desire for change. Despite the obstacles, many young people in Cuba are risking their to work for a better, more just future.
In the spring of 2011, Lilvio, an independent librarian and youth leader in Cuba, visited 5 young people: a blogger, a student, a professor, a journalist and a musician.
